Two women from Warrane have been charged with Trafficking and a further woman and man have been charged with possession, following suspicious activity at the Falls Festival yesterday.

On Wednesday 30 December 2015 at approximately 3.00pm, police on site at Falls Festival were made aware of people acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the security check point at the main entrance to the Festival.

Police attended and spoke with the people involved and visited their camp site within the Festival where a quantity of MDMA (ecstasy) pills was located.  Three people were subsequently arrested and removed from the site for further investigation.

As the result of those investigations the following charges have been laid:

23yo Warrane woman charged with trafficking in a controlled substance and sell a controlled drug;

29yo Warrane woman charged with trafficking in a controlled substance;

22yo Warrane woman charged with possess a controlled drug; and

A 24yo Midway Point man will be summonsed for possessing a controlled drug.
