Drug seizure and arrests at Swan Bay
On 5 January 2011 at 0630hrs, Detectives from Northern Drug Investigation Services executed a Search Warrant at an address in Windermere Road, Swan Bay (North of Launceston).
The Drug Detection Dog Unit was utilized and a significant amount of cash and approximately 1 kilogram of methylamphetamine was located at the house. The street value of the drugs is $500,000.
Two males aged 19 and 29 were at the residence. Both males were interviewed, arrested, formally charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, and bailed to appear at the Launceston Magistrates Court in March 2011.
