On Tuesday, 9th August 2011, members of Southern Drug Investigation Services intercepted a vehicle in Buckland.  During a search of the vehicle a quantity of methylamphetamine was located on the front seat.  Subsequently, police executed a search warrant at a property in Buckland, where firearms and ammunition were seized. 

A 67 year old Buckland male has been charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and with firearm offences.  He will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court on a later date.
