Drink Driver Crash
At about 9:02pm on Wednesday 30 May 2012, police from Northern Traffic Services responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Upper York Street, West Launceston where it intersects with Hill Street.
A red Honda wagon failed to negotiate the intersection and went down a slight embankment causing minor damage to the vehicle. Nobody was injured as a result of the crash. The 46 year old female driver was subject to a breath analysis and returned a reading of 0.308 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.
The female was charged with exceeding the prescribed alcohol limit and driving without due care and attention. She was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
