Tragically the female passenger, aged 75, of the white Holden Commodore ute was killed as a result of the crash with members from Ambulance Tasmania unable to revive her at the scene. The driver of the ute, aged 80, was transported to the Launceston General Hospital with serious, non – life threatening injuries.

The occupants of the other vehicle, both aged 40, received non-life threatening injuries but were taken to hospital for treatment.
