Devonport charges
A 20 year old Devonport man allegedly responsible for a series of crime, which began in October 2014, has been arrested and charged.
Police have linked the man with a number of property related offences that occurred in the areas of Devonport, East Devonport and Latrobe.
He was charged with breaching bail x 2, aggravated burglary, burglary, stealing x 3 and motor vehicle stealing x 7.
He appeared in an out-of-hours court session and was granted bail.
Police have also charged a 21 year old woman from East Devonport with aggravated burglary, burglary, stealing x 6 and computer-related fraud following an investigation into a number of thefts in the Devonport area. She is due to appear in court at a later date.
“We would like to thank the community for providing information which has assisted us in these arrests. We also encourage everyone to remain vigilant; to report suspicious activity in and around their neighbourhood, and remind them of the importance of securing their personal property to prevent crimes occurring,” said Detective Acting Sergeant Felicity Boyd of Devonport CIB.
