Burnie CIB detectives have charged a 15-year-old Wynyard youth with Arson and Burglary in relation to a deliberately lit fire at the Wynyard Bowls Club on 4 January 2018.

This male youth will also be proceeded against for another attempted burglary at the Wynyard Football Club rooms and another burglary and stealing from the C3 Church on Austin Street on New Years Eve.

Detectives anticipate to lay further charges against another male and female youth in relation to this same arson and burglary investigation.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who observed a group of youths (two males and one female) in the vicinity of the Wynyard Bowls Club between 7.30pm and 9.00pm on Thursday 4 January 2018. Detectives are aware that potential witnesses have not yet spoken with investigators.
