At approximately 4:10pm, on Sunday 11 January 2015 Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service attended a house fire on Louisa Street, Bracknell.  On arrival, the house was fully engulfed by fire.

The occupants of the address were absent at the time of the fire.

The single bedroom residence has been totally destroyed.  The estimated cost of the damage to the building and contents is $140,000.

A fire scene examiner from Tasmania Fire Service attended the scene.  At this stage the fire has been classified as being deliberately lit and is currently being investigated by Tasmania Police.
