Deliberately lit fire, Clarendon Vale

At 1.05 am Friday 26 October 2012, Tasmania Police detected a house fire at Mockridge Road, Clarendon Vale.  Tasmania Fire Service were notified, attended and extinguished the smouldering fire shortly after arrival.

The residence is privately owned and tenanted; however, no person was present at the time.  The house has sustained severe damage to an estimate of $100,000.  The tenant has lost most of their belongings.

Police and Tasmania Fire service have determined the fire to have been deliberately lit.
