Police have charged a 19 year old male from New Norfolk in relation to the deliberate ramming of a police patrol vehicle on Sunday 17^th March.  He is due to appear in court later this afternoon.

The charges, including Negligent Driving, Injure property and Evade police, result from an incident yesterday, during which the driver of a red or maroon coloured Mitsubishi Magna Sedan Registered Number B19YZ had deliberately rammed a marked police vehicle in Park Street at the junction of Brooker Highway, New Town.

Police would also like to speak with the driver of a red Holden Barina that was travelling down Burnett Street, North Hobart at about 2 pm on Sunday 17 March 2013, as they believe this driver may be able to provide further information in relation to the incident.
