Tasmania Police have released the name of the driver killed in yesterday’s multi-vehicle collision on the Bass Highway between Devonport and Latrobe.

Christine Sylvia BONE, 64 years from James Street, Devonport died as result of injuries sustained when the vehicle she was driving was hit by on-coming vehicles.

It appears that she had swerved to avoid a piece of furniture on the road and had lost control of her vehicle, crossing into the path of on-coming vehicles in the westbound lanes.

Investigations into the collision are on-going and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
