An 80 year old man who was admitted to the Royal Hobart Hospital on the 13^th August 2014, as the result of a single vehicle car crash, died in hospital on Tuesday 26^th August 2014.

The crash occurred on Briggs Road at Honeywood at approximately 4.40pm on Wednesday 13^th August 2014.  At this time the deceased was driving a white Toyota wagon when it failed to negotiate a left hand curve.  The vehicle left the road, overturned and came to rest on its wheels in a paddock.

The deceased and his 79 year old woman passenger, both of Brighton, were conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital and admitted.  Unfortunately the deceased’s condition deteriorated and he passed away on the 26^th.

Constable Adam EASTLEY of Bridgewater Police would like to hear from any member of the public who may have witnessed the crash or seen the vehicle beforehand.

A coronial investigation into the death is ongoing.
