Daylight Home Burglary and Stealing
In the past four weeks there has been a marked increase in the amount of home burglaries occurring in the Howrah and Oakdowns areas. These burglaries have been committed during daylight hours. Cash, jewellery and electrical items seem to have been targeted.
On 18 October 2012 at 3.00pm members of the public alerted Police to suspicious activity in Talambi Street Howrah. Police responded immediately and apprehended 3 males on the Southarm Highway hiding in bushes. Police recovered a large amount of stolen property hidden in the bush.
The three males were charged with committing 6 daylight home burglary and stealings. They were also charged with damage, burglary and stealing from Emmanuel Christian School and Rokeby Primary School.
