In the past 2 weeks there have been a number of home burglaries committed in the Oakdowns, Howrah and Tranmere areas.  These burglaries have been committed during daylight hours with cash being targeted.

On 11 November 2012 three males were reported by members of the public in Oakdowns, acting suspiciously in the vicinity of residential properties. The three males were arrested a short distance away after attempting to break into a house in Oakdowns. After investigations were conducted the 3 were charged with having committed 10 daylight home burglaries and stealings in the past 2 weeks.  They were also charged with attempting another 2 home burglaries.

Police thank the public for their assistance and wish to reinforce that members of the community remain alert and continue to report any suspicious persons or vehicles seen in these areas.  Information can be reported to:

Bellerive CIB have arrested and charged 15 offenders since 1 September 2012 with home burglaries in the Warrane, Lindisfarne, Howrah and Tranmere areas.
