Tasmania Police are assisting DARK MOFO organisers with their Nude Solstice swim event, pending a successful permit application to the Hobart City Council.

 “We’re pleased to support the event with the right permissions in place from the HCC.

 “The location for the Nude Solstice has been moved to Long Beach, Sandy Bay, away from homes, and an age limit of over 18 has been included,” said Inspector Glen Woolley.

Police will refrain from participating in the event but will provide a Police Vessel and foot and traffic patrols to help ensure the safety of those keen to brave the cold conditions.
