Dangerous Driving incident – Witnesses requested

 Police investigating reports of a dangerous driver on the road between Ross and Campania, (Midland Highway and Mudwalls Road) yesterday afternoon are encouraging witnesses to contact them.

The vehicle, a green Nissan pulsar hatchback registration D40 WA, was observed being driven in a dangerous manner and evaded police several times on the Midland Highway.

Witnesses have reported the vehicle being driven erratically and overtaking on the left hand side of the road.  A mobile device recorded the vehicle travelling at 147kmph.

Police sighted the vehicle again in Colebrook around 5pm yesterday and it was intercepted at Campania.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

“In one weekend this is the second concerning report of drivers prepared to travel at speed with total disregard for the road rules and the safety of others on our roads,” said Sergeant Clayton.

If anyone travelling on the Midlands Highway or Mudwalls Road yesterday afternoon  has any information relating to this incident they are encouraged to contact police on 131 444.
