Damien Deeks – at large

Glenorchy Detectives wish to advise that investigations into the escape of Damien Deeks continue.

Whilst a number of alleged sightings of Deeks have been reported to Police, none have proved fruitful.

As investigations continue it becomes apparent that Deeks may be receiving assistance from others who place themselves at significant risk of arrest and a likelihood of imprisonment for any conviction on harbouring Deeks.

“Deeks has the opportunity to limit the impact of his choice to escape by returning to custody.  Deeks decision to escape should also not be the impetus for others to make poor choices,” said Detective Inspector David Plumpton of Glenorchy CIB.

As a reminder Deeks, at the time of his escape, had brown short cropped hair and a goatee beard.  He has green eyes, is a slim build and is approximately 180cm tall.

Whilst he is not considered a danger to the public he has shown a propensity to undertake high risk behaviour when avoiding apprehension in the past and accordingly it is preferential police are contacted if he is sighted.
