Detectives from the Bridgewater Criminal Investigation Branch are currently investigating an incident whereby significant damage has been caused to 2 excavators and a logging skidder.  These machines had been located at a logging coupe approximately 12 kilometres south of Butlers Gorge in the Central Highlands.

Investigations to date would indicate the damage occurred overnight on Saturday 1^st September.  The scene has been forensically examined and investigations are ongoing.

Detectives are keen to hear from members of the public that may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the Butlers Gorge area over the weekend, particularly any vehicles parked on Butlers Gorge Road, Tarraleah.  Information can be relayed to Detectives on 6268 4103 or via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
