Crash at Motocross Event near Bridport

On Saturday 12 September 2015 a motocross event was being held at Santarena Park near Bridport.

At around 11.20am a race was in progress when a male rider has fallen from his motorcycle, landing awkwardly after riding over a double jump.

Ambulance personnel were on site and attended to the injured rider. He was conveyed to the Launceston General Hospital where he was reported to be in a serious (but stable) condition, with head injuries.

Tasmania Police attended the scene and commenced an investigation into the crash.
