Police are concerned for the welfare of missing Tasmanian man, John Briers.

The 74-year-old was last seen around midday on Monday, leaving his home in Bridgewater in a silver/gold coloured Toyota Camry (registration number FH1446).

At the time he was wearing a black jacket, a blue flannelette shirt, and blue jeans.

He is described as being about 165cm tall, with a slim to medium build, brown/greying hair and green eyes.

John walks with a limp and may use the aid of walking sticks. He also wears glasses.

Anyone who has seen the vehicle John was driving, or who has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Bridgewater Police on 131 444.
