Concern for welfare – Andrew Jarman

Police are concerned for the welfare of a cyclist who failed to return home after going for a bicycle ride on Sunday 19 August 2012 in the Latrobe area.

The cyclist is Andrew John Jarman, aged 35 years.

Mr Jarman is 180cm tall of medium build. He has short dark hair with a moustache and beard with several days growth. He has brown eyes and a ruddy complexion.

He is believed to be wearing a white top with a red/white/blue jumper, dark blue pants and a cap with the letter “b” on it. He was riding a white “Cyclops” mountain bike and was wearing a red/black “Met” brand bicycle helmet.

He was last seen at about 4pm riding out of the Warrawee reserve towards Latrobe.

Police have used 4WD vehicles to search bush and forestry tracks in the area both today and yesterday when Mr Jarman was reported missing.   The search will continue tomorrow.

Any person who may have seen Mr Jarman is requested to contact Tasmania Police on 131444 or their local Police Station.
