Commanders Certificate Of Appreciation – Mr Richard Gamble
Western District Commander, Tim Dooley, will tomorrow present a ‘Commander’s Certificate of Appreciation’ to Mr Richard Gamble who rescued a three year old child from waters in December 2015.
On Christmas Day in 2015, 63 year old Mr Gamble, who is from Acacia Hills, was in Triabunna and observed a child struggling in the water at the Triabunna Boat Ramp.
Mr Gamble quickly entered the water to rescue the child, who had wandered from his home through an unlocked gate.
The child was having difficulties in the water being unable to swim, and was safely rescued through the quick thinking and actions of Mr Gamble.
