A 48 year old Cygnet man has been charged with Involving a Young Person under 18 in the Production of Child Exploitation Material

The charges are the result of joint investigation between New South Wales Police and Tasmania Police.

Police will allege that material located in New South Wales late last year was filmed in Tasmania in 2006 and involves a 5 to 6 year old child.

The man who cannot be named for legal reasons will appear in Hobart Magistrates Court later this afternoon.
