Detectives from the Northern District Criminal Investigation branch have charged a 22 year old Newnham man in relation to the shooting in York Street, Launceston on Monday evening.

The man has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Firearms offences and Wounding. 

He will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court today.
