Seven people will be proceeded against following an investigation into an altercation in a Burnie CBD business in March 2024.

During the incident a person was assaulted, receiving non-life-threatening injuries to their face.

Two adults from the Burnie area and five youths from Burnie and Smithton will be proceeded against for a variety of offences.

The two adults and two youths will face charges of Affray, with the youths facing a further charge each of stealing.

Three further youths each face a charge of disorderly conduct relating to behaviour displayed inside the business.
