Charges over boat burglaries
Detectives from Bridgewater Criminal Investigation Branch have charged four youths over a spate of burglaries from boats in the Brighton and Pontville areas over the last week.
Information received from the public and ongoing investigations identified the youths, and led to some stolen property being recovered. Property alleged to have been stolen includes fishing rods, fuel containers, knives and tackle.
It may be the case that some of the burglaries have not yet been reported, and anyone in this area with boats at home, is encouraged to take stock of equipment and contact Bridgewater CIB to report any stolen items.
Members of the public are encouraged to be vigilant in removing and or properly securing loose items in their vessels.
