Charges laid over school burglary

As a result of police enquiries and information supplied by members of the public, Launceston CIB has interviewed two youths aged 16 and 17 in relation to the burglary of St. Finn Barrs Primary School where a quantity of laptop computers were stolen.

The youths will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

A 21 year old Trevallyn male has also been charged with receiving stolen property and will appear in the Launceston CPS at a later date.

A number of the stolen Apple MacBook laptops were recovered but there are still some missing.
