At 1pm on Sunday 7th April 2013 on the Jordan River Bridge, Bridgewater a firearm was discharged and a person sustained a wound to the leg.

As a result of investigations into this incident  a 19 year old male from Bridgewater has been arrested and charged with wounding and other firearm related matters.

The male has been detained to appear before the magistrates court this afternoon.

The vehicle used in the incident was seized and forensically examined however the firearm used in this incident has yet to be recovered.
