Last night Detectives from Devonport CIB charged a 36 year old Sheffield woman with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and breach of a Police Family Violence Order.

She appeared before an out of hours sitting of the Devonport Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody to appear via video link at 2.15pm today.

The charges relate to an incident at a Sheffield address occurring in the early hours of Tuesday morning in which it is alleged a man was injured. The man was hospitalised with an injury to his abdomen. He is in a stable condition.

It is alleged both parties were known to each other.
