Two men have been charged in connection with an incident at Tapas Lounge Bar in Devonport last week when several people were assaulted.

Detectives from Devonport yesterday travelled to Hobart where they charged a 29-year-old Glenorchy man and a 22-year-old Moonah man with several counts of assault and one of affray.

The men were bailed to appear at the Devonport Magistrates Court on 30/9/2014.

Detective Senior Sergeant Richard Chugg said:

“We would like to thank members of the public for their assistance in this investigation.

“We would still seek to speak with anyone who was at Tapas last Thursday evening or who may have information regarding the incident.”
