Members from Western District Drug Investigation Services recently conducted a search of property at Smithton, Circular Head.  A large quantity of cannabis was located during this search.  The cannabis would have an approximate street value of $300,000.  

A 52 year old Smithton man was arrested and charged with offences related to drug trafficking.  He is to appear in the Smithton Court of Petty Sessions at a later date.

The seizure is one of the largest recorded on the North West Coastin recent years and coincides with the conclusion of the outdoor cannabis growing season.
