At about 9.30pm tonight police on duty in a marked police vehicle were travelling south on the Tasman Highway approaching Brinktop road north of Sorell.

A blue Subaru Impreza wagon on Brinktop road was approaching the T intersection and appears to have failed to give way at that intersection and has collided with the police vehicle.

Occupants of both vehicles were taken to the RHH for assessment, injuries were minor.

The road was not blocked and is open to normal traffic.
