At approximately 4:30pm on Monday 11^th January 2016, police were advised of a vegetation fire at Paradise, where a “Watch and Act” alert had been issued by the Tasmania Fire Service.

As a result police attended the incident and consulted with the Tasmania Fire Service. Police would like to advise members of the public that no roads required closing, and residents in the vicinity did not require evacuation. Police would like to re-assure residents of Sheffield and Paradise that the increase in police presence was simply a precautionary response, due to the recent dry conditions.
