Police would like to speak to anyone who camped at the Royal Hobart Showgrounds this weekend after a burglary occurred there.

Entry was gained to an on-site office building by offenders smashing a window.  Once inside a safe was burgled and money and campers’ bank details stolen.

Police would particularly like to speak to anyone who deposited their payment of fees and bank details into the receptacle at the administration building between Friday 29 March and Sunday 31 March.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, or has information that could help the police investigation is asked to call Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000 or Tasmania Police on 131 444 and quote number 610293.
