Between 19 August 2016 and 22 August 2016, a burglary was committed on Garden Island, which is located on the Huon River near Garden Island Creek.  A workshop was entered and items were allegedly stolen.

An attempt was made to enter an unoccupied residence, which was unsuccessful.

Three people – two youths, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and a 19 year old man from Claremont, will be proceeded against for offences including burglary and stealing.

Police urge shack owners in the vicinity of Garden Island Creek to check the security of their properties.
