Three people appeared in the Launceston Magistrates court this morning today in relation to a Burglary and Stealing incident that occurred yesterday at a complex on George Street, Launceston.

The 34 year old woman from East Launceston, 24 year old woman from South Launceston and 23 year old man from West Launceston, were jointly charged in relation to numerous burglary and stealing matters from the complex.

The trio were also charged with a significant stealing of property from a residential unit located nearby.

“It is suspected that this incident would have occurred over a number of hours. We would like to hear from anybody who saw anything suspicious in the area of George and York Streets, Launceston, between the hours of about midnight and 5:30 am yesterday morning,” said Detective Acting Inspector Ruth Orr of Launceston CIB.

The two women were both bailed with the 24 year old man being remanded in custody. All three will appear in court at a later date.
