As a result of investigations into a serious assault on a police member at Herdsmans Cove on 25th June 2013, a 20 year old male has been apprehended in Glenorchy today.

The male will be facing assault charges, traffic matters and other charges as a result.  The male has been detained for court and will appear in the Hobart Court of Petty Sessions tomorrow at 10 am.

The police officer has been released from hospital and is now recovering.
