Police are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed an incident at Burge Place, Herdsman Cove, about 12:45 today, in which a police officer was struck by a motorcycle.

The police officer had attended Burge Place on an unrelated incident when he was struck. The motorcyclist left the scene.

The officer was treated at the scene by ambulance and taken to hospital with injuries to his hands.
