At 2:45pm on Monday 31 October 2011 Ambulance Tasmania tasked the Westpac Police Rescue Helicopter to attend a property in Lunawanna, Bruny Island.

A 65 year old Bruny Island man was suffering from a serious medical condition which required urgent evacuation.

The helicopter was able to land on the property owned by the patient and he was then flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital.
