A 13 year old George Town boy has been injured after being accidentally reversed over by a vehicle. The accident happened at about 3.00pm on Saturday 13 December 2014 in the front yard of a house in George Town.

The boy was treated at the scene by Ambulance Tasmania personnel prior to being transported to the Launceston General Hospital.

The boy is being treated at the hospital for non life threatening injuries.

George Town Police Sergeant Peter Roberts stated that ‘unfortunate incidents like this are a timely reminder for drivers to thoroughly check their surroundings before driving their cars’

The incident is being investigated by George Town Police.
