Police this afternoon recovered the body of 59-year-old man from the water near Blessington St, South Arm in Southern Tasmania.

It is believed to be the body of Kingston man Douglas Adamson.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and the man’s family has been informed.

A report is being prepared for the coroner and police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen him enter the water.
