At approximately 2.10am on 13 March 2014, Police attended the scene of a house fire in Beechford. The unoccupied house was fully engulfed in flames. Tas Fire Service crews attended and extinguished the fire. The house was totally destroyed.

The damage has been estimated at $200,000.00

The cause of the fire is being investigated by Tasmania Police.
