A 42 year old male rider from Turners Beach is currently in hospital with non-life threatening injuries following an ATV crash on the Sandy Cape Track on Saturday.

The crash which occurred at around 12:20 pm, was attended by both police and ambulance personnel. ‘Due to the remoteness of the crash scene the Westpac rescue helicopter was tasked to assist in conveying the rider to the Royal Hobart Hospital’, Sergeant Adrian Mollon said.

‘Investigations are ongoing and police would like to speak to any witnesses of this crash’.
