Attempted Robbery North Hobart Pharmacy

Detectives from Hobart CIB are appealing for witnesses to an incident which occurred at a North Hobart Pharmacy on Elizabeth Street last night.

At approximately 6.25pm an unidentified man entered the Pharmacy, pulled his hood over his head and face, walked to the medications counter, produced a pair of white handled scissors and made threatening demands.

Upon being told that his actions would be on camera, the offender turned and ran from the store empty handed.

The assistant and Pharmacist were unharmed during the incident.

The offender is described as a male of slim to medium build, aged between 25 and 35 years.  He was wearing a grey top over a black hooded top, grey tracksuit pants with two white stripes down each leg and sunglasses with large blue shiny lenses.

While the picture does not show the offenders face it is hoped that someone may recognise him from the time of the incident or the physical description.

Information can be left with Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
