In the early hours (approx 4.15am) of this morning, offenders have attempted to drive a stolen blue Mitsubishi triton ute through the front window at the BP at Invermay.  This was unsuccessful.

A short time later (4.20am), the same offenders have driven the same ute through the front window of the BP at Newnham.  They have then unsuccessfully attempted to steal the ATM from this location, causing considerable damage to the shop.

The stolen ute was located a short time later by police, on fire in Rocherlea.

Police believe that at least four offenders were involved.

Anyone who may have seen the triton ute or the occupants of the vehicle in the Invermay, Newnham or Rocherlea  areas at these times is asked to ring Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
