Attempted Armed Robbery – Ravenswood
At 10.10 pm on Thursday 22nd May 2014 a male has entered the Over 50’s Club in Ravenswood and brandished a firearm at the male attendant. The two men have then struggled over the firearm before the offender fled on foot. Nothing was stolen during this incident.
While searching the area, Police attempted to intercept a vehicle which refused to stop for them. Police searched the Invermay area before locating the vehicle abandoned in Conway Street, Mowbray. An extensive search of the area failed to locate any offenders.
Investigations into the attempted armed robbery are continuing and police ask that anyone with information concerning the robbery or the movements of a white Nissan Pulsar around this time contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
