Members of Devonport CIB and Ulverstone Police have today charged a 34 year old male from Ulverstone with the attempted armed robbery of the BP Service Station on William Street, Devonport yesterday afternoon.

As a result of this arrest, the male will also be charged with a number of dishonesty offences committed in the Ulverstone area in the past days.

Police would like to thank members of the public for their valuable assistance.

Police would still like to speak to any persons who witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of Williams Street at about 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
