About 7:45am on Sunday the 2^nd December 2012 a 25 year old female was assaulted by a male person on Paterson Street, Launceston.

The male offender is described as: aged in his 20’s, with olive skin, athletic build, shaved short dark hair and was wearing blue jeans, white shoes, black sunglasses and a light blue sleeveless shirt. He was last seen on foot in Paterson Street, Launceston.

The female did not suffer any injuries as a result of the assault.

Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to the matter or anyone who saw a person matching this description walking through the Launceston CBD around the time of the incident to contact the Launceston Criminal Investigation Branch on 03 6336 3701 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
