Assault at Hobart Regatta Grounds on Tuesday 8 July 2014

Police investigating an alleged assault at the Hobart Regatta Grounds are interested in speaking with anyone who may have had their vehicle parked in the vicinity of the public toilets later in the evening.
Police have information that there were several vehicles parked in the area at the time of the assault. The description provided of those vehicles included; a large white flat tray utility, a grey or black SUV sized vehicle, and a dark blue sedan.
Police are particularly keen to speak with the owners of these vehicles as they may have witnessed something or have information that could assist with the investigation.
Police have also obtained a description of the two alleged offenders in this incident which occurred between 8-9pm on Tuesday 8 July 2014 in the vicinity of the public toilets located upon the Hobart Regatta Grounds.
The first male is described as:
- Aged Late 30’s to late 40’s
- Approximately 6’1”
- Dark average length hair
- Stocky build
- Australian accent
- Wearing tradesman long sleeved green fluorescent shirt with dark blue sleeves, tradesman navy blue trousers, and dark lace up boots
The second male is described as:
- Aged 55-65 years
- Approximately 6’1”
- Fatter than average waist
- Wearing mid-blue jeans, brown jacket.
