Assault

At 2:40pm on Wednesday 6th June 2012 a 63 year old male was walking in a southerly direction on the walking track off Riverview Drive, Bridgewater.

The 63 year old male was grabbed from behind, a knife was placed to his throat and a scuffle then occurred.

The 63 year old male fell to the ground and observed a male who assaulted him and left him unconscious on the track.

The offender stole a substantial amount of cash from the victim.

The offending male was described as being between 25 – 30 years old, 185cm tall, stocky build with short brown hair.

Investigators are following a number of lines of enquiry and are seeking information from members of the public who may have knowledge of:

1.    the male involved in this crime, or

2.    who may have seen a male loitering in the area of Riverview Drive, Bridgewater at or near the time of the incident.
